This Cleanup is part of the Potomac River Watershed Cleanup
April 23, 2016, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Join Rock Creek Conservancy in partnership with the Mayor's Office of Community Relations & Service for our 8th Annual Rock Creek Extreme Cleanup. Volunteers will clean-up the lands, banks, tributaries, and waters of Rock Creek throughout Maryland and D.C. Our goal is total stream cleanup of Rock Creek and its tributaries, the parks connected to Rock Creek, and the neighborhoods near Rock Creek where trash originates. We work closely with the National Park Service and Montgomery County Parks.
Date and Time: Saturday April 23rd, 2016 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Where: Volunteers will meet at the grassy area next intersection of Calvert Street and Shoreham Drive, Washington, D.C. 20008. This site is accessible through the Woodley Park- Zoo Metro stop.

What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the weather. It may be chilly so dress warmly and in layers. Wear sturdy boots or sneakers, no sandals.
What to Bring: Trash bags and gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring your own tools and gloves if you have them. If you have trash grabbers or nets, please bring them. Students can earn SSL hours, but please bring needed forms. Bring water and any snacks that you may want.
Parking Capacity: Metered street parking is available along Calvert Street.
Restrooms are NOT available.
