A star and dignitary studded feature length documentary chronicling the fascinating story of how western rock music contributed to ending the Cold War, will have its Washington, D.C. premiere screening in Gaston Hall at Georgetown University on Tuesday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the general public.

Narrated by Kiefer Sutherland. Starring Jimmy Carter, Mikhail Gorbachev, Elvis Presley, Beatles, Beach Boys, Billy Joel, Elton John, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Bruce Springsteen, Scorpions, Metallica, and the Iron Curtain rockers they inspired. Directed by 4 Time Emmy Award winner Jim Brown

Panel Discussion following the film: with former KGB General Oleg Kalugin; Soviet/Russian rock icon Stas Namin; former Hungarian Ambassador Andras Simonyi (now SAIS’s Managing Director of Transatlantic Relations); Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities William “Bro” Adams; and the film’s Director Jim Brown.
