Braque and Picasso
George Braque once said of Picasso, the artist in collaboration with whom he changed the course of twentieth-century art, that "he used to be a great painter. Now he is merely a genius."

Guess that's true. He did stop trying to establish anything with painting, and just reverted to simian genius.
