Don the Don has "understood" several things about so-called "ordinary" Americans (as if there were such species), who are much smarter than the bicoastal "Ivy League" elite (as if there were such species):

Most important Trump message: It's not what I say, it's what you forget I say (forget the past tense).

ABOVE ALL, FORGET, FORGET: IF YOU REMEMBER WHAT I SAID YESTERDAY, YOU'RE NOT ALL-AMERICAN!

P.S. See "The United States of Amnesia," and numerous Trump flip-flops over his "policies" covered in the hostile anti-Trump media (granted, unforgiving to The Don); see also.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

A memory hole is any mechanism for the alteration or disappearance of inconvenient or embarrassing documents, photographs, transcripts, or other records ... The concept was first popularized by George Orwell's dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, where the Party's Ministry of Truth systematically re-created all potential historical documents, in effect, re-writing all of history to match the often-changing state propaganda.

And now a bit, for your amusement, of American"popular" music re die homeland's view of the USA's hystorical  journey-- Enjoy!
