State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Sunday the U.S. embassy in Baghdad will remain open and “will continue to engage
daily with Iraqis and their elected leaders — supporting them as they strengthen Iraq’s constitutional processes and defend themselves from imminent threats.”
