Stinkbugs and the USG shutdown: The aliens are coming!
Stinkbugs -- not in the news for several months -- seem to be returning to the imperial capital, Washington, D.C., after pause, occurring coincidentally (?) at the same time as the USG "shutdown."
In my apartment, "protected" by insect-preventing screens, the stinkbugs are incessantly appearing on windows, and somehow get "inside" my modest abode.
For those who among us Americans face the same stinkbug problem -- and how minor it is given the tragedies of the world today -- may I suggest the use of "Tilex: Mold and Mildew" to get rid of these many-legged creatures. Tilex is far less offensive to the human smell than ordinary "bug-sprays."
Meanwhile, I cannot think about what how she, the Almighty, will judge this human being, your devoted blogger, after his short life on earth, about exterminating creatures that don't directly attack him. I think what God's punishment for my killing stinkbugs will be to be reincarnated as one.
But they -- the BUGS -- are, apparently, a threat to agriculture, without which we Americans will not prosper (i.e., grow fatter and fatter).
P.S. Warning:
Achtung, achtung: But there is more about bugs than just bugs, except at the NSA.
Let's get serious here, I'm talking about a serious, direct threat to American national security.
Not-so-paranoid science-fiction imagination types might claim that the slow-moving stinkers
should be appearing (not "accidentally") in the nation's capital -- at least in your blogger's NW DC neighborhood -- at a time when the U.S. government is "shut down."They would claim that:
Using nano-technology, the Chinese, the terrorists, the Zionists -- of course all great fans of "star Wars" -- have a master plan to take over America the beautiful that we, "We, the furloughed" in the homeland can't even imagine.
Only their nano-weapons of mass destruction have four rather than six legs. Which shows how "clever" they have become.
BEWARE!!!
