USA toenails and teeth: More reasons to be a proud American

As a proud, patriotic American who lived many years overseas, I never cease to be amazed, upon my relatively recent return to the now unfortunately Bush-designated "homeland" -- a "not specifically ... Nazi word" -- at how fellow-citizens, usually appearing, by the standards of some other cultures, unacceptably "casual"/crude/uncivilized in public exposures/situations, are admirably meticulous in having impeccably clean, delicately-cut toenails

(at times colorfully adorned) as they display their sock-less feet to their Facebook friends -- and, perhaps unintentionally, to the non-virtual world -- via flip-flops.

Same admiration is directed at USA's teeth: What persons abroad would even consider that a "barbarian" American in his/her "vulgar" sartorial/physical/mental choices (including shorts-for-every occasion and disease-size obscene obesity, not to speak of infatuation with professional-league American football, a concussion-causing "sport"), have the kind of wondrous Hollywood teeth -- white, stain-free, "regular" -- that really do deserve to be the envy of the world.

Like America or not, we Americans seem to get some things right -- from toes to teeth (as for what's in between, that's another question).
