Syrian war scenarios -- chemical weapons

The below comment is far beyond whatever professional competence I may have, but I want to get it off my chest:
How many of our "strategic thinkers" have considered that eye-doctor Assad

and his regime would "facilitate" (through leaks to the press and other sources via "the opposition," whatever it may be) that the bombing of certain military sites -- not disclosing that they are chemical weapons depots -- are "ideal targets" for USA bombing?
When the innocent civilians victims of such bombing at chemical weapons sites would be "revealed" by Assad propaganda, guess who would be blamed the world over for murdering hundreds of women and children?
See also: David E. Sanger and Eric Schmitt, "Pentagon Is Ordered to Expand Potential Targets in Syria With a Focus on Forces," New York Times: "For the first time, the administration is talking about using American and French aircraft to conduct strikes on specific targets, in addition to ship-launched Tomahawk cruise missiles. There is a renewed push to get other NATO forces involved. The strikes would be aimed not at the chemical stockpiles themselves — risking a potential catastrophe — but rather the military units that have stored and prepared the chemical weapons and carried the attacks against Syrian rebels, as well as the headquarters overseeing the effort, and the rockets and artillery that have launched the attacks, military officials said Thursday."
