Christmas Trees
As I walk up Sedgwick Street in Northwest Washington D.C., on my way home, I cannot help but be struck by the idiocy of "Christmas trees." Along the sidewalk, you see these abandoned, brutally cut-off miracles of God's splendor, supposedly ready to be picked up for ultimate destruction by city "services." A sad, in my view, commentary on America's ecological/global priorities.

I cannot agree more! I guess Christmas trees are excluded from environmental concerns.
